The World According to Maiden Fair

365 Progress Report

I’ve actually been out and taking pictures. Going out for a walk later today and take some more. Found my close-up lenses which is wonderful as I thought they were lost forever. Had a horrid scare yesterday – I was getting multiple error messages from my camera so I took it to Best Buys thinking I’d need a new memory card at the least – a new camera at the worst. Turned out the data on the card was corrupted somehow – he reformatted the card and it works fine. Went ahead a got the new memory card too – just in case and picked up a spare battery as my second battery will only hold a charge for about 32seconds – that just won’t do.

Dandelion Puffs on 365 Project April 8, 2012 I spent the afternoon in the yard (we had Easter dinner on Saturday night) learning to use my camera all over again. A lot of the pictures didn’t turn out, but this one I liked. Dandelions – the bane of spring in suburbia – although in actuality they are a very useful plant if one knows how to do it.

Solitary Bench on 365 Project

April 9, 2012 – A stroll along the Rock River and a lonely bench on a lovely spring day. It’s only companions were a few Robins and the lapping of the water on the shore.

I’ve also been able to get back to my quilting – though I haven’t finished many – But here are some of them.

The Braided Garden was one I started before I fell – I finally completed the hand quilting in March 2012.
The Appliqued Towels – one for each month are a project from my Thimbleberries Club
These Fall Cards were made for an exchange with friends last October. My Granddaughter helped as I was not able to do them nearly as fast as she could and she’d never used the sewing machine before.

There are a few more completed projects, but I’ll save them for another day.
